How to reach Rimini
Map of airports:
Rimini is located on the eastern coast of Italy. Besides Rimini, major and nearby airports of Italy are marked on the map. Thanks to high-speed rail link between Milan and Rimini - it is a very comfortable ride to get to the sea even from Milan.
Here we have described in detail how to reach Rimini’s central railway station, which is almost in the centre of the town (rather between the sea and the town centre). If your hotel is not in the centre, as the town is spread along the waterfront, then you will have to use the very convenient urban transport, which is described in detail on the page “Urban transport”.
Useful links:
Skyscanner - a very user-friendly website to find the best flight deals offered by about five hundred airlines (see below for the list of convenient airports).
Car Rental: compare best offers from different companies - rent a car, online discount of up to 30%.
Trenitalia - Italian train time-table and purchasing of tickets. Note: Trenitalia changes the time-table of trains in the first week of June and December every year. Low-cost trains (Regionali) are added to the website a couple of weeks before the change in time-table (thus compelling innocent tourists to buy expensive tickets). Upon shifting to summer timetable - almost all spring trains keep running, only new ones are added. Advance booking only makes sense for Freccia (high-speed) trains, all other tickets can be purchased on the spot without any problems (at ticket counters and vending machines).
